Foreign Minister Penny Wong, along with International Development Minister Anne Aly, detailed in a joint statement that the Australian Government will contribute 10.5 million dollars to the UN Horizon Fund and another 7 million dollars to the World Bank’s Palestinian Fund for Reconstruction and Development.

The officials noted that the investment strengthens Palestinian public institutions, improves economic management, and boosts democratic governance.

Wong underscored that this package shows Australia’s practical commitment to Palestinian recovery, reform, and institution-building.

Aly, in turn, stressed that the new resources complement the humanitarian assistance Australia already provides in the region, thus reinforcing its support for Palestinian-led efforts.
