Beijing Condemns Washington’s Policy Toward Cuba and Calls for an End to Military Threats and the Blockade.
On Monday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian rejected U.S. allegations about the presence of foreign military and intelligence facilities in Cuba.

“The ties between China and Cuba leave no room for rumors or slander… China will continue to firmly defend its national sovereignty and oppose external interference,” he said in response to a publication by the U.S. Department of State that seeks to portray Cuba as an existential threat to the United States.
“The use of force or the threat of its use in international relations seriously violates the United Nations Charter and gravely endangers global and regional peace and security,” Lin said during a news conference in which he rejected U.S. policy toward Cuba.
“The U.S. should heed the call of the international community and immediately cease military threats and any form of blockade against Cuba,” he stated, recalling that China firmly opposes “unjust” actions.
The U.S. State Dept just released a 100-page report accusing Cuba of influencing virtually every major progressive movement in the United States over the last 65 years — making the case for red-baiting in the U.S. and regime change in Cuba.

The 100-page document titled Cuba, the Capital of Communism in the 21st Century argues that the island poses a “unique threat” to U.S. national security.
It accuses the Cuban government of seeking to “undermine, degrade and destabilize” Washington through spies, soldiers, students, intellectuals and nongovernmental organizations.
Havana has repeatedly denied U.S. allegations that Cuba hosts facilities belonging to Washington’s rivals, such as China or Russia.
Lin’s remarks come at a time of increasing pressure by President Donald Trump’s administration on Cuba, a nation that has been subjected to an energy blockade since the beginning of the year.
