
At least eight people died and 19 others were injured in the sixth consecutive night of U.S. attacks on southern Iran, local media reported Friday.
Seven fatalities and nine injuries occurred during Thursday night’s strikes on three bridges in Bandar Khamir, according to the Tasnim news agency. The most significant bridge struck connects Bandar Abbas port city with Lar in Fars province. The attack occurred while vehicles were crossing the bridge, with some thrown off following a nearby missile impact.

A separate U.S. attack on the Tappeh Allah Akbar residential neighborhood in Bandar Abbas killed one person and injured eight others, according to Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences, with seven suffering blast-wave injuries and one sustaining a fracture.
Two additional injuries were recorded in an attack on Bandar Abbas railway junction, though infrastructure damage was minimal.

The strikes are part of a U.S. bombing campaign against southern Iran targets, including logistics infrastructure and maritime capabilities, according to Centcom. Tehran has responded with missile and drone launches against U.S. targets in Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

Washington resumed offensives against Iranian cities over the weekend after President Trump terminated a June 17 memorandum of understanding.
The Trump administration reimposed a naval blockade on Iranian ports and vessels in the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, two days after Tehran announced closure of the waterway in response to U.S. bombings.
