Iran’s Army attacked the Sakhir base in Bahrain—where US helicopters and reconnaissance aircraft are stationed—and military centers in Kuwait with Arash destroyer drones on Thursday, in the 11th phase of Operation Lightning, according to an official military statement.
The Iranian military declared the maneuver responds to continued US bombardments against urban infrastructure and civilians, now in their sixth consecutive night, which have left at least 40 dead, over 300 wounded, and struck multiple civilian infrastructures. Local media subsequently reported the US Fifth Fleet base in Bahrain was also targeted in reprisals from Iranian territory.

The Iranian Army emphasized its sovereign defense posture, stating that “the security and independence of this divine homeland are our red line” and that they will respond swiftly and decisively.
Military officials warned the enemy that any miscalculation regarding the nation’s will, perseverance, or the combat capability of the Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps will carry a high cost.

The response follows a new wave of US bombings between Thursday night and Friday in southern Iran, marking the sixth consecutive night of Pentagon aggression, with both sides attacking daily for nearly a week.
Pentagon strikes impacted civilian infrastructure including bridges, a train station, residential neighborhoods, and an air terminal, approximately three weeks after the signing of a memorandum of understanding intended to end the war, according to Iranian media.
Tehran and Washington had signed a 14-point memorandum seeking to end U.S. and Israeli wars on multiple fronts, including Lebanon, alongside lifting sanctions, withdrawing the naval blockade, and restoring Strait of Hormuz traffic within 30 days.
