RIMPAC represents a further escalation of Washington’s preparations for war

This is sensationalist nonsense. They have done RIMPAC every year since 1971. There’s nothing escalatory about it, except maybe that Taiwan was invited to participate in 2022. The PRC might consider that an “escalation” since they have territorial conquest ambitions for Taiwan.

I mean, that’s literally escalation. The UN recognizes that Taiwan is a province of China and has for 5 decades. Inviting a province of another country to participate in military preparations that explicitly create a national security threat for the nation of that province is absolutely unfathomably escalatory. Can you imagine China inviting Quebec to join in military and exercises simulating the conditions for containing Canada and the US?
