Caracas and Doha maintain comprehensive cooperation in areas including agriculture, tourism, trade, and energy, according to officials. This partnership reached a new level in recent years, consolidated by President Nicolás Maduro’s 2022 visit to Doha and successive high-level exchanges between authorities.
The alliance has allowed both peoples to increase exchanges and maintain a constant commitment to shared development across various strategic areas, the government noted.
The Father Emir ruled Qatar between 1995 and 2013, transforming the nation into an energy power and raising its international profile. In 2013, he voluntarily abdicated and allowed his son Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to accede to power.
