Currently, this shelter provides housing, food, and comprehensive medical care to 121 families displaced by the June 24 earthquakes.

The affected families, from La Guaira, El Junquito and Catia, have received government assistance under the sponsorship of Banco del Tesoro at facilities equipped with dormitories, laundry rooms, dining halls, and recreational areas.

During her visit, Rodriguez reviewed the progress of the Unified Housing Registry, a system that operates through fingerprint scanning and the assignment of QR codes.

The public policy, which seeks to expedite the allocation of new homes to earthquake victims, is being implemented at 107 active shelters in Caracas, Miranda, La Guaira and Aragua.

The Venezuelan acting president also reviewed the launch of productive projects and hair salons as part of the “Entrepreneurship Cities” plan.

Also present during the visit to the Artigas shelter were Digital Government Minister Anabel Pereira and Hector Rodriguez, secretary of the High Command for the Creation of Temporary Shelters and Housing.
