Venezuela’s Social Vice-Presidency reported on Saturday that 94 active temporary camps are now sheltering 18,437 people affected by recent earthquakes in the country’s central region.

Venezuelan State’s logistical deployment has a total installed capacity of 24,129 spaces distributed across three entities to guarantee direct protection for affected families, with infrastructure prioritizing assistance in areas of greatest need.

La Guaira state accounts for the largest assisted population, with 10,981 citizens housed across 28 active camps. Six of these centers are currently being expanded to increase physical response capacity.

Caracas has 40 operational shelter camps, with an installed capacity of 11,086 people and a current occupancy of 6,133 citizens receiving comprehensive care.

Miranda state has 26 camps assigned by authorities, offering an installed capacity of 3,244 spaces and currently providing safe shelter to 1,323 affected people.

Institutional management continues to maintain the operability of these dignified spaces while recovery work on infrastructure progresses following the telluric movements, according to the Social Vice-Presidency.
