“Any attack on infrastructure will be met with reciprocal action, and Israel, which is behind these acts of aggression, will not be spared the response of our fighters,” he stated.

Zolghadr also described U.S. President Donald Trump as “the world’s most hated figure” and criticized remarks said were directed at the Iranian people.

Earlier, the Republican leader said the ceasefire agreed to in June had already ended but that he was willing to continue peace negotiations.

“Iran has asked us to continue ‘talks.’ We have agreed to do so, but the United States has stated to them, in no uncertain terms, that the Cease Fire is OVER!,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

The Iranian officer said Trump’s recent messages reflect the anger the U.S. president feels over the large turnout of Iranians and Iraqis at the funeral of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was buried in Mashhad.

Zolghadr was appointed secretary of the Supreme National Security Council on March 24, replacing Ali Larijani, who had been killed by Israel the previous week.

Trump Orders Iran to Be Bombed at ‘Levels Never Seen Before’ if He Is Assassinated

On Friday, Trump said he had instructed the Pentagon to bomb Iran if he is assassinated as the result of an alleged Iranian plot.

“I’ve been on their list for a long time. That’s what we’re dealing with. I’ve left instructions: if something happens, bomb them literally at levels they’ve never seen before,” he said in an interview with The New York Post.

Trump was responding to media reports that Israel may have warned the United States that Iran was developing a new plan to assassinate him. However, he suggested there was no recent plot, while maintaining that Tehran has considered him a target for years. “No, no. Israel hasn’t said anything. No, no.”

The warning comes amid a renewed escalation in tensions between Washington and Tehran, marked by recent military clashes and exchanged threats that have brought an end to the ceasefire reached in June.
