A 78-year-old activist called Said Patel locked himself to a van outside an Elbit-owned factory in Shenstone, Staffordshire, to disrupt the production of engine parts reportedly used to make Israeli drones. The manufacturing site is run by UAV Engines Ltd, a subsidiary of Elbit Systems UK, Israel’s largest weapons manufacturer. Said Patel told a police officer: “They’re killing children. Day in and day out.” He added: “I have to stand up.” Footage shows the elderly man escorted to a police car upon arrest.
