A journalist called out Nato chief Mark Rutte on Wednesday for not saying a word as Donald Trump claimed he wanted to cut off trade with Spain. All while Rutte was quietly sitting next to him. “Does this have any effect on your self-respect when you sit next to him like that and say nothing?” journalist Rasmus Svaneborg asked the Nato head at the summit in Ankara, Turkey.

I get that approach. But the entire world looks on as Trump spouts his three Cs: chaos, corruption, cruelty. Do we really want to be in the same room, when he does that?
