Venezuela’s Acting President of Venezuela Delcy Rodriguez confirmed this Wednesday that authorities will not rest in assistance efforts following the devastating twin earthquakes that struck the nation on June 24.
Acting President Delcy Rodríguez inspected the humanitarian inventory from 28 countries and vowed relentless assistance for families who lost relatives and homes in the June 24 double earthquake, which includes over 2,000 tons of supplies.
The Acting President emphasized that authorities remain fully aware of the suffering endured by Venezuelan families who lost loved ones and homes.

The Venezuelan Government will allocate these resources directly to temporary camps through an automated technological platform. This digital system will allow each cooperating nation to track the exact destination and use of its contributions, ensuring transparency in the distribution process.
Rodríguez highlighted the importance of receiving this support during a moment of profound national grief. She affirmed that Venezuela has felt accompanied by the international community during this crisis. The Government activated the entire civil protection system to coordinate aid distribution and established a new special task unit for disaster response.

The Acting President stressed that the path toward national recovery requires comprehensive state intervention, which includes the reconstruction of housing units, public services, infrastructure, education, and employment opportunities for all affected citizens currently receiving assistance in transitory camps.

The ceremony also included the delivery of three rescue dogs: two will be trained for search and rescue operations in Mexican territory, while one will remain in Venezuela as a representative of the canine search units of that nation.
According to the last official report, the death toll rose to 3,811, while the number of injured remained at 16,740. In other way, 6,462 people were rescued and 86,794 families were attended.
