“I think it’s over. I don’t want to deal with them anymore.” Trump resumed airstrikes on Iran Tuesday, declaring the ceasefire “over” at the NATO summit in Ankara Wednesday. Trump claimed to have hit over 80 targets after accusing Tehran of attacking commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Washington has also reimposed oil sanctions on the Islamic Republic, and oil prices have jumped in response. Iran struck back within hours of the US attack, hitting what it says were up to 85 military installations in Bahrain and Kuwait. It comes as tens of millions across Iran and Iraq attend the 6-day funeral for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader assassinated in a joint US-Israeli strike in February.
