Charles booker is the Democratic nominee for Senate in Kentucky, and part of the wave of progressive candidates who have been racking up victories in their primaries recently. A former Kentucky state House Representative, Booker is a supporter of Medicare for All, abolishing ICE, and a “Working People’s Bill of Rights” that includes better wages and union protections. He joined Current Affairs associate editor Alex Skopic to discuss the state of the Kentucky race, and why he believes he has a real shot to replace Senator Mitch McConnell in November.
