During her tour of the educational facility, which has been converted into a temporary shelter, Rodriguez was accompanied by Jose Cabello, superintendent of the National Integrated Service of Customs and Tax Administration (Seniat).

The camp is currently housing 706 people, representing 235 families made up of 248 women, 159 men, 100 teenagers and 199 children. They have been accommodated in 18 dormitories made available for their use.

To ensure their well-being, the site provides permanent general medicine and pediatric services, as well as specialized consultations in nutrition, internal medicine, psychology, psychiatry, endocrinology, neurology, surgery, and dentistry. The camp also has a team of recreation staff deployed to support the families and help ensure a dignified shelter environment.

The shelter is one of more than 80 temporary camps that the Rodriguez administration has established across the seven states most affected by the earthquakes.

Together, the camps have a total capacity of 17,642 people and have assisted 12,806 residents to date. In Caracas, 37 of these temporary camps have been activated, providing capacity for 11,406 people displaced by the emergency.

As of July 5, authorities reported that 86,794 families were receiving assistance under the comprehensive relief plan implemented in the states of La Guaira, Caracas, Miranda, Aragua, Carabobo, Lara, and Yaracuy.

The official toll also confirmed the deaths of 3,342 people and of 16,740 injured, while state medical facilities have provided medical care to 23,820 patients. Thanks to the large-scale deployment in the disaster zones, emergency teams have rescued 6,462 people alive since the emergency began on June 24.
