Israel

US officials have said that Israel was planning to murder key Iranian negotiators during US-initiated talks in an attempt to sabotage any peace.

Israel attempted to murder Palestinian peace negotiators in Qatar in 2025 but missed. The occupation did murder senior negotiator Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran in 2024 to end potential talks for an end to Israel’s Gaza genocide. Israel lobbied the US in May 2026 to murder one of its targets and the US and Israel have slaughtered senior officials and their families since the latest war began. So the US officials’ assessment is entirely credible.

Israel plan thwarted

Israel’s plan to assassinate Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf began in April, but was thwarted when Pakistan sent a decoy air convoy escorted by fighter jets to draw the occupation’s attention while the negotiators returned to Iran.

But Israel was not going to give up that easily. The US negotiators were so afraid of Israel executing their counterparts that they asked Iran’s neighbours to warn Tehran about the assassination plan. The apartheid colony had already specifically targeted and killed other potential negotiators who were involved in talks with the US, including former foreign minister Sayyid Kamal Kharazi and national security boss Ali Larijani.

The US ‘surrender plan’ for a 60-day truce to finalise peace conditions is widely and probably rightly considered a ruse to buy time to replenish oil stocks and armaments. However, Iran has also said it is using the time, and the billions released to it under the ‘memorandum of understanding’, to buy replacing expended munitions and destroyed decoys to ready itself to hit back even harder if attacked again.

The Starmer regime, meanwhile, is handing itself massive powers to arbitrarily criminalise and punish reporting like this, to protect Israel.
