
Since 1963, Cuba has graduated more than 150 young Mongolians in various fields.
On Wednesday, the Cuban Embassy in Mongolia awarded full scholarships to Mongolian students to study Medicine and Special Education at Cuban universities, reaffirming its commitment to international cooperation.

The ceremony was held at the diplomatic headquarters in Ulaanbaatar and was led by Ambassador Emilio Pevida and the head of the Office of Consular Affairs, Lidice Perez.
The scholarship recipients received their official documentation and signed the code of ethics that governs the conduct of foreign students in Cuba, amid dialogue with authorities and family members present.
During the meeting, the diplomats updated attendees on the political, economic, social, and educational situation in Cuba, answering questions and clarifying doubts about the academic process on the island.

The text reads, “Ambassador Emilio Pevida described the relations between Cuba and Mongolia as historic, uninterrupted, and based on mutual respect during the ceremony commemorating the 65th anniversary of relations between the two countries.”
The parents and students expressed gratitude and solidarity with the Cuban people, highlighting the gesture of solidarity in maintaining these scholarships despite the intensification of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States.
The attendees emphasized that “friendship and solidarity between peoples cannot be blocked,” rejecting the coercive measures that seek to stifle the Cuban economy and limit its international cooperation.
