On Wednesday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said it is not possible in the short term to improve relations with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

“Under these circumstances, talking about prospects for resuming dialogue and normalizing relations is simply unthinkable,” she said, while clarifying that her country is not seeking confrontation with the alliance.
“President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov have repeatedly emphasized that Russia has no aggressive plans against NATO or European Union members,” Zakharova said, accusing the organization of “continuing to move toward greater escalation.”
“The West must reconsider its hostile approaches toward Russia… Without all of this, it is not possible to seriously discuss normalizing relations with the alliance,” she reiterated.

The U.S. Will Continue Selling Arms to Allies
On Wednesday, U.S. Ambassador to NATO Matthew G. Whitaker said his country will continue selling weapons to allied nations through the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative.
“The United States, as I always say, is not going away. We will continue doing what we are doing, and we hope our allies will join us in that effort,” Whitaker said during a virtual news conference ahead of the NATO summit on July 7-8 in Ankara.
“We have launched the PURL program, which I have spoken about on numerous occasions, and we have sold more than $6 billion in high-quality U.S.-made systems, including Patriot and PAC-3 air defense missiles, to Ukraine and our NATO allies, who have in turn supplied them to Ukraine,” he recalled.

I’m pretty sure that sentiment is reciprocal, given that Russia is still actively invading Ukraine.
