TWO US envoys arrived in Qatar today for talks with mediators on an initial deal to end the war in Iran, but no meeting has been scheduled with Tehran, officials said.

The visit by Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, follows a weekend of crossfire in the Gulf despite a ceasefire agreement.

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari said mediators were working to arrange talks with Iranian diplomats, who will arrive to discuss blocked assets.
