As part of the religious procession, the Isna Ashari Youths Foundation (IAYF) carried out their Clean Juloos Campaign, which deals with promoting civic duty and cleanliness. As part of this campaign Bin Bags were placed along the route so that procession participants would throw waste in a bag and in turn, keep the route clean.
The initiative was appreciated by participants and showed how religious and social duties can go hand in hand. The discipline and respect for public space showed the values of Imam Hussain (as) and the true essence of the Ashura Procession was achieved through the successful coordination of the cleanliness campaign and the Ashura Procession.
