Two separate car bombings killed Palestinian citizens of Israel within minutes of each other in central Israel on Sunday 28 June 2026.
The first came in Yaffa, killing a father and wounding his young son. The second followed minutes later in Holon; a victim wounded at the scene died later. The explosions form part of a surge in violence targeting Palestinian citizens of Israel on the same day that killed a number of other Palestinian citizens.

Israel have a history
But the fact that only Palestinians were targeted raises fears of new ‘false flag’ attacks by Israeli spy services aiming to provide a pretext for yet further intensification of attacks on the West Bank as Israel already re-escalates in Gaza. The occupation has a long history of staging attacks on its own territory or property for political ends. It was accused of targeting empty buses in Israel in early 2025 as a pretext for a similar escalation against the occupied West Bank.
From the ‘Lavon affair‘ of the 1950 in which it bombed Jewish buildings in Egypt and tried to blame it on Muslim groups, to its air attack on the USS Liberty in 1967 to try to provoke the US into attacking Egypt, Israel has carried out attacks and blamed others. The 1994 bombings in London blamed on Palestinian activists were a pretext for a crackdown on Palestinian exiles.
Now bombings and shootings in ‘Israel’ – but targeting only Palestinians – may be used as a pretext for further ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity.
