The Venezuela’s National Civil Protection System and international brigades deployed ten temporary camps in La Guaira state this weekend to provide comprehensive assistance to families displaced by the recent earthquakes.

The Venezuelan Government has established two specialized centers in ten active camps in La Guaira, which remains the epicenter of the reconstruction and relief efforts.

One of these centers is dedicated exclusively to providing specialized psychological and physical care to unaccompanied children, while the second facility focuses entirely on protecting and assisting older adults who have been displaced.

In these secure areas, citizens who suffered severe structural damage to their homes receive mattresses, clothing, daily food rations, medical assistance and permanent logistical support.

These provisional facilities receive active support from non-governmental organizations and foreign rescue workers.

Regarding healthcare, the emergency camps feature fully equipped medical tents with professional staff offering basic yet highly developed hospitalization and treatment services. Medical teams assist citizens with physical trauma, deliver essential pharmaceutical treatments, and coordinate with independent solidarity organizations to address the immediate needs of the population.

Targeted Social Distribution

The President of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, reported that the Bolivarian State has directly assisted 73,937 families through national social programs.

This massive logistical deployment has distributed 7,225,000 kilograms of food, delivered 20,000 grocery bags directly to homes and served 222,147 hot meals to affected citizens in temporary shelters. This coordinated effort highlights the commitment of the Venezuelan government to protect the human rights and well-being of all families during this national recovery phase.

7,876 volunteers have registered at the Caracas Polyhedron so that, accompanied by law enforcement agencies, they can go down to La Guaira and fulfill their role of helping.

The Government has also enabled a telephone line to provide psychological care (0800-AYUDA) and a website to locate missing persons.
