Acting President Delcy Rodriguez led this Sunday a high-level ministerial meeting to coordinate reconstruction projects and guarantee immediate humanitarian aid across seven federal entities impacted by the seismic events.
Venezuelan Acting President Delcy Rodríguez coordinated an immediate governmental response on June 28 to establish temporary camps and deploy resources across seven federal states affected by last Wednesday’s powerful earthquakes.
Immediate Reconstruction Plans
During the high-level meeting, the National Government focused on assessing structural damage and designing immediate operational strategies to address the ongoing contingency. The governmental evaluation prioritizes the official reports from seven federal entities where the teluric movements caused severe damage to numerous buildings, residential structures, and public spaces. This coordinated ministerial and institutional effort aims to restore strategic infrastructure and public works in the shortest possible timeframe to guarantee the safety of the citizens.
To achieve this, authorities evaluated technical and logistical plans destined for the reconstruction of damaged physical plants across the country. The Venezuelan Government guaranteed the swift allocation of financial resources and the immediate mobilization of specialized engineering and restoration personnel. These technical teams are tasked with analyzing structural integrity and executing engineering works to ensure that all recovery procedures are executed under strict safety standards.
Furthermore, cabinet ministers remain permanently active and deployed across the affected territories. This direct on-the-ground deployment allows public officials and specialized technical units to collaborate directly with local communities and regional authorities, ensuring that public utilities, water services, and transport systems are restored swiftly to mitigate the impact of the emergency on everyday activities.

Comprehensive Social Care
The governmental working group also prioritized the state’s social protection policies, focusing directly on the integral care of families affected by the earthquakes. During the executive session, authorities established robust mechanisms for humanitarian aid, food distribution, and emergency healthcare services to assist vulnerable communities during this critical phase of the disaster response.
As part of these efforts, the government defined clear operational guidelines for the immediate installation of stable, safe, and dignified temporary camps. These temporary housing spaces are specifically designed to provide secure shelter to families who suffered the total loss of their homes. The state aims to guarantee adequate habitability conditions, clean water, and food security within these camps while long-term housing reconstruction projects are finalized.
In parallel to physical infrastructure and housing efforts, the state has prioritized the emotional and mental well-being of the population. Venezuela has enabled a dedicated telephone hotline to provide immediate psychological assistance to citizens coping with trauma, anxiety, and distress caused by the seismic events. Through this multi-sectoral approach, state institutions continue to work tirelessly across the affected regions to protect the fundamental rights of thousands of displaced Venezuelans, ensuring no family is left defenseless during this recovery process.
