Socialism (in historical practice, not talking about unacted “ideals”) hasn’t necessarily been any better. The only socialist country that is progressive w.r.t. queer rights is Cuba, and Cuba is the sole exception. All other socialist countries don’t have the kind of rights you see in west EU.
And socialism is typically totalitarian, not saying the trump admin is good at all, but socialism isnt “it”.
