Rogelio Calubad, 53 and his son Gabriel, 29, were abducted by suspected state forces on June 17, 2006 in Bangkuruhan village, Calauag, Quezon. Rogelio was a peace consultant of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) in Southern Tagalog. They were among the 10 people – three of them NDFP consultants – who were abducted by suspected military men in separate incidents in Luzon in June 2006.
Rogelio’s wife, Elizabeth led the search for her husband and son for 14 years, until she passed away in 2020.
