US military plane landed at Shannon on return from Israel Defense Forces airbase

A US military plane used to transport soldiers landed at Shannon Airport on its way back from an Israeli airbase – in the same week a UN inquiry found Israel “deliberately carried out acts inflicting death on Palestinian children”.

The Omni Air plane under the command of the Department of War’s US Transportation Command left Nevatim Israel Defense Forces (IDF) airbase on Sunday evening.

It landed at Shannon Airport the next morning after a brief stop at Greece’s Athens International Airport.

The plane left Shannon that morning and landed hours later at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport in Texas.

An independent UN inquiry published this week found that Israel continues to commit genocide by deliberately targeting Palestinian children in Gaza.

The report included evidence from a doctor who visited Gaza that Israeli soldiers had shot different children’s body parts on different days in a “game of target practice”.

The Ditch reported last year that the state allowed another Omni Air plane carrying armed US troops to travel through Shannon Airport on its way to the same Israeli military base.
