The application will enable families to report missing relatives and notify authorities of damage to public infrastructure, providing a direct digital channel for emergency assistance.

According to Rodríguez, the measure is part of the activation of the High Command following the declaration of a State of Emergency, as established under the country’s Constitution. VenApp, originally developed to improve public services, has now been integrated into rescue operations to facilitate the immediate reporting of emergencies.

“We have decided to activate the High Command (…) so that, together, we can address and begin to manage the entire situation generated by these two consecutive earthquakes that our country suffered today.”

Delcy Rodríguez also appointed Major General Juan Ernesto Sulbarán Quintero of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) to coordinate the emergency response.

The platform is now directly connected to the High Command, allowing authorities to receive reports from citizens in real time. VenApp operates within the framework of the 1×10 Good Government initiative, a Venezuelan-developed social network designed to monitor public services through direct communication with the government.
