“There is no doubt whatsoever… that every international legal norm has been violated by the actions of the Israeli authorities towards Palestinian children, and they need to be held accountable.” Chris Sidoti, a member of the UN’s Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, called for justice for Palestinian children at the release of a new report on Tuesday. The report found Israel is deliberately killing and torturing children – and subjecting them to sexual violence – as part of its genocide against Palestinians. Commission chair Srinivasan Muralidhar described how Israel’s attacks, along with its illegal blockade, have led to babies undergoing amputations with no anaesthetic. “You can imagine the agony those children went through,” he said.
