Mexico City. The national leadership of Morena, headed by Ariadna Montiel, reported that this weekend another 211 assemblies in defense of national sovereignty will be held throughout the country to fulfill the mandate of President Claudia Sheinbaum to combat disinformation around this central issue.

It is part, Morena highlighted on its social networks, of the campaign that will run from June to August. For this reason, “the defense of our sovereignty continues this weekend with the holding of informational assemblies to maintain direct dialogue with the people of Mexico.”

A good number of the burgundy party’s legislators organized these informational meetings in their respective states.

In Río Bravo, Tamaulipas, Senator Olga Patricia Sosa Ruiz backed the federal Executive “in its defense against foreign intervention.”

Before more than a thousand Morena militants gathered in the Plaza Hidalgo of that border municipality of Río Bravo, she emphasized that sovereignty is not negotiated and is respected, because in Mexico the people rule.

Sosa Ruiz highlighted that from the Senate two reforms have been pushed forward that ratify Morena legislators’ support for President Sheinbaum: one on the unbreakable defense against any kind of interventionism or foreign intervention, and the cause for nullification of elections when intervention by a foreign government or organization is proven.

In its message on social networks, the Morena leadership reiterated the invitation to militants, sympathizers, and the general citizenry to consult the specific venues and corresponding times to join these spaces of reflection and unity.
