Not altruistically.
Don’t conflate a correct position with a righteous one. The man has been indignantly fucked by NetanYahoo just like every other president. The strange irony is that Trump’s ego, oddly, unapologetically refuses to be humiliated. To say it in his words, he’s getting “bad ratings.”
He hates disgrace more than anything else.
I won’t give him an ounce of credit, but I’ll say that whatever gets us out of this war is fine.
I see no downside to that.
