According to figures from the National Electoral Council (CNE), the mission includes 1,500 international observers from 22 countries and 26 organizations, tripling the 418 from 2022, along with more than 13,000 accredited national observers.
For these elections, more than 122,000 polling stations were also set up, while 440,000 campaign observers for Cepeda and De la Espriella were accredited to directly monitor election day.
Quiroz highlighted the work of the National Registry in the first round on May 31 and warned that the main risk is not fraud, but rather the disinformation spread on social media that generates distrust.
