    It all started with the reasonable thing, that if it’s too hot, there is a drinking break
    Which was fine

    But now this is the new normal.
    And football lives a bit from that, that’s it a long hard game, where endurance, strength and ball control play together

    But now splitting 2 half times into 4 quarters is just not the same anymore

    And yeah, they’re using it to show ads
    I’m very sure, it’s just about commercialisation - and that pisses me off even more

    Edit: read the article after making my comment, and it’s making pretty much the same points and leading to the same conclusion
    Fuck FIFA for that - and maybe it’s just a coincidence, but having that shit now regularly during the world cup in the USA, just fits…
