It’s not just fungi. I had 100 ft of lakefront cleared of Aspen trees last fall, and they’re coming right back because our neighbors didn’t clear theirs, and the network of roots that spans all the lakefront properties is still intact.
Aspen trees look like separate trees, but it’s one giant organism in reality. And it’s hardy!
