Protests erupted outside of London’s Woolwich Crown Court Friday as four Palestine Action activists – Charlotte Head, Samuel Corner, Leona Kamio and Fatema Zainab Rajwani – were sentenced under terrorism powers. The Filton 4, as they have come to be known, were arrested in 2024 for their direct action dismantling weapons inside of an Elbit Systems facility, which supplies arms to Israel. Among the hundreds of supporters at the rally were Kamran Ahmed and T Hoxha, two former hunger strikers and fellow Palestine Action activists, known collectively as the Filton 25. Ahmed criticized the sentence as an “attack” on both the movement for Palestinian liberation and the British public. Hoxha was scheduled to appear in court Monday while Ahmed awaits trial. 🎥 @meher.vepari
