WOMEN’S RUGBY UNION: Three-time defending champions Gloucester-Hartpury suffered a shock 29-26 loss at home to Ealing in Sunday afternoon’s English Premiership play-off semi-final. Ealing led 24-7 at half-time and held on to set up a Grand Final against last year’s runners-up Saracens, who needed Jess Breach’s late try to edge out Exeter 40-38 in their last-four clash. Saracens finished 25 points ahead of Ealing during the regular season.
