On the morning of April 15, 2024 — Tax Day — a group of protestors stopped the flow of traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge in protest of the genocide in Gaza and its funding by U.S. taxpayers. Twenty-six were arrested and spent 48 hours in jail. Now, seven of these protestors currently await jury verdict following their felony trial, where they face counts of false imprisonment and up to 15 years in prison for this “classic example of direct action.”
