“We are not backing down. We are still in solidarity with the people inside.” Li Adorno of @cosechanj talked to BT about the struggle to free ICE prisoners who have been on a labor and hunger strike for eight days. Detainees have reportedly faced beatings and severely inhumane living conditions inside the facility, which is privately owned by GEO Group. More than 300 have now joined the hunger strike, and they have been supported daily by hundreds of community members protesting to demand their freedom, an investigation by the Attorney General, and for the governor to visit the strikers.
