Fox News reported earlier this week that the Treasury Department sent subpoenas to CodePink co-founder Medea Benjamin and Twitch streamer Hasan Piker as part of an investigation into a humanitarian delegation that brought aid to Cuba in March. Benjamin joined Rania Khalek and Zoe Alexandra to clarify that while she has not yet received an official subpoena, she considers the probe an “intimidation tactic.” She argued that Washington is criminalizing humanitarian aid while enforcing sanctions that she says are “actually killing babies” in Cuba. “We have to use this as another reason we’re so angry at the US government and redouble our efforts,” Benjamin said. #breakthroughnews
