“This is a question of upholding our democratic institutions.” Hundreds of advocates from across state gathered at the Illinois Capitol Building on May 20 in support of HB 2723, which would effectively repeal the state’s anti-BDS law. Rallying under the banner of “Stand Up for Palestine — End the Censorship,” activists and community organizations like American Muslims for Palestine and the Illinois Human Rights Coalition are continuing to mobilize and demand an end to anti-BDS laws in Illinois and across the country.
