At least 31 people were killed and dozens of others wounded in a series of Israeli airstrikes on different parts of Lebanon on Tuesday, May 26, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.
The massacre was committed on the eve of Eid Al-Adha holiday, simultaneously with another that claimed the lives of nine people across the Gaza Strip, despite the US-brokered ceasefire deals in both Lebanon and the Palestinian war-torn enclave.

IOF issues sweeping evacuation orders for residents of southern Lebanon
On Wednesday, May 27, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) issued sweeping evacuation orders for residents of southern Lebanon, warning them to move north of the Zahrani River. The IOF declared all areas south of the river “combat zones”.
The orders foreshadow a further Israeli escalation in Lebanon during Eid holiday, and will exacerbate the humanitarian crisis of displaced people in Lebanon. As per the latest report released by the Danish Refugee Council, more than 1.2 million people were displaced in the country between March and April, due to the ongoing Israeli aggression.
