The National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) recently came out with a statement weeping crocodile tears over Negros, calling it the “epicenter of spy-tagging and killings.”
They claim that “the blooded truth cannot be erased by slogans and propaganda.” On that single point, we agree. the blooded truth cannot be erased. That is precisely why the NTF-ELCAC needs to stand in front of a mirror, look at its own blood-stained hands, and reflect on its own words. What they are doing is a classic case of “kain-suka”, spouting high-minded rhetoric about human rights while actively engineering the state-sponsored terror in the island through intimidation, forced surrenders, red-tagging, abduction, and extrajudicial killings, even up to the point of massacres.
Through its propaganda machines, the reactionary state is crying foul over the revolutionary movement’s actions against the 51 individuals, attempting to paint them as innocent civilians. However, the Negrosanon masses know better; they themselves participated in the rigorous implementation of revolutionary due process. Far from innocent, these 51 individuals were proven criminals—thieves (kawatan), rapists and worst of all, active military intelligence assets planted in communities to compromise the safety of the masses and sabotage the growing resistance. The proof of their crimes and their direct links to the state’s military forces have been laid bare for all to see in the detailed statements and photographic evidence released by the different guerrilla fronts in Negros.
One does not need to be a professional analyst to understand why the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Philippine National Police (PNP), and the NTF-ELCAC are reacting with such outrage. They are protecting their own assets for they belong to the exact same breed of criminals, operating hand-in-hand to suppress the people’s desire for genuine land reform and national industrialization.
Furthermore, it is no secret that the US-Marcos II regime, alongside its predecessors and military lackeys love to vilify the People’s Revolutionary Court, calling it a “kangaroo court.” But let us look at the facts and ask ourselves: which system is truly impartial, credible, and independent?
To find the answer, look at the jails across the Philippines and ask: Which social class do the prisoners come from? The cells are packed to the brim with the poor, the peasants, and the working class. Meanwhile, the wealthy landlords, corrupt politicians, and big bourgeois-compradors walk free, buying their way out of justice.
In sharp contrast, the People’s Revolutionary Court operates strictly in the service of the oppressed. It remains unswayed by a criminal’s bank account or political connections. It delivers swift, genuine, and pro-people justice against perpetrators of heinous crimes within the community. The credibility of this people’s court is forged not by state decrees, but by the ironclad support of the masses, who have long been abandoned by the elitist, rotten legal processes of the GRP.
The NTF-ELCAC can spin all the propaganda it wants, but it cannot mask its hypocrisy. Their words and effort won’t hinder the advancement of the national democratic revolution. On the contrary, their reliance on fascism will only unwittingly steel the movement—fostering both quantitative and qualitative growth in the months ahead. We stand resolute in our duty to defend the people against the true epicenters of terror: the fascist state and its mercenary defenders.
