A drone technology factory in Kent was blockaded by over 100 activists this morning, shutting down all operations for a second time. Instro Precision, a subsidiary of Israel’s largest weapons manufacturer Elbit Systems, was blocked by activist group Arms Embargo from Below. The action comes just weeks after the UK government granted two new licences for the export of military equipment to Gaza earlier this month, including one worth £8.7m. “The UK government has increased its arms trade with Israel throughout its mass murder of civilians,” said a spokesperson for the group. “We stand against genocide and ethnic cleansing, and are here to protect human life.”
