MEN’S FOOTBALL: Lionel Messi suffered an injury scare ahead of the World Cup as he left Inter Miami’s 6-4 win over Philadelphia Union with an apparent hamstring injury. Having set up two of Miami’s four first-half goals, Messi reached for his leg in the 73rd minute after taking a free-kick. The 38-year-old was replaced by Matteo Silvetti and headed straight down the tunnel without assistance from medical staff.
