MANCHESTER CITY forward Khadija Shaw paid tribute to her team-mates as she capped another memorable individual campaign by collecting the Football Writers’ Association women’s Footballer of the Year award in London.

Shaw, 29, won the Golden Boot for a third successive season with 21 goals as City took a first Women’s Super League title in a decade.

The Jamaica forward is out of contract in June, and has been linked with a move to Chelsea.

Shaw, speaking ahead of the Footballer the Year dinner, admitted it had been a campaign which again exceeded all expectations.
