Thu Hang participated, during his stay in Moscow, in nearly 30 activities, including talks with the country’s top leaders and visits to economic, scientific research, and educational centers. He also participated in the Vietnam-Russia Business Forum.
She pointed out this time that important agreements were signed in areas such as nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, oil and gas exploration, transportation connectivity, and cooperation in subway development.
Thu Hang referred specifically to the signing of the agreement for the construction of the Ninh Thuan 1 Nuclear Power Plant, which she considered a historic event, as the project is expected to become a new symbol of the ties between Vietnam and Russia in the future.
Shortly before concluding his visit, Minh Chinh met by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who congratulated Vietnam on the successes of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the recent elections for the 16th National Assembly and the People’s Councils at all levels.
Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in defense, security, science, and technology, particularly in basic science, new technologies, biomedicine, and aerospace, and pledged to make efforts to promote people-to-people exchanges and facilitate tourism.
