    Experts were saying the whale was very sick and should not be moved. Social media drowned them out. It has become too powerful and unwieldy for anyone’s good.

    The article reads like a bunch of people craving attention got together and created a lot noise and some threw a bunch of money at this whale to show that rich people are still human all the while having no idea how to properly help it and put it under unnecessary stress and eventually killed it, jfc.

    The humane thing would have been to leave him be where he stranded, but the German (social) media turned him into some kind of symbol, so anyone proposing to end his suffering was met with death threats themselves.
