THE SNP has called on Scottish Labour MPs to back its bid to force a vote of no confidence in the Prime Minister.

SNP chief whip Kirsty Blackman has made a direct plea to Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar, who has publicly called for Sir Keir Starmer’s resignation, to whip his MPs to back the SNP amendment to the King’s Speech.

The Aberdeen North MP said: “Anas Sarwar has repeatedly failed to act on his opportunistic election stunt call for Keir Starmer to resign in February.
