Police in Copenhagen beat peaceful anti-genocide protesters with batons on Wednesday as they blocked the entrance the headquarters of shipping company Maersk. The Danish firm is accused of complicity in the mass killing in Gaza by transporting weapons and other supplies to Israel’s military. Twenty activists from Den Grønne Ungdomsbevægelse – or the Green Youth Movement – were arrested and charged with trespassing, according to industry website Shipping Watch.
