FC Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal waved a Palestinian flag during his team’s title parade yesterday. The team were riding an open-top bus in celebration of their La Liga win, with tens of thousands of supported cheering them on. The 18-year-old’s show of support for Palestine comes a month after he called out Spanish football fans for anti-Muslin chanting during a friendly match against Egypt. Barcelona has become a hub of Pro-Palestinian activism in Spain since the beginnings of Israel’s genocidal campaign in Gaza in October 2023.
