“I could hear daily screams caused by the torture inflicted by Israeli agents.” Global Sumud Flotilla activist Saif Abu Keshek returned home to Barcelona on Sunday after spending 10 days in Israeli custody. During a press conference at Barcelona–El Prat Airport, Abu Keshak stated firmly, “The biggest concern we have is for the thousands and thousands of Palestinian prisoners left behind, left without defence, tortured and raped continuously.” Thiago Ávila, the other flotilla activist whose detention was extended by Israel, returned to São Paulo also on Sunday.
